There is a lot of stress in Western society. Doing more with fewer people seems to be a normal new norm. Profit maximization remains number 1 instead of profit optimization in combination with attention to human well-being. Through social media, the world and beyond has become open and transparent and we are overwhelmed with an enormous amount of information and communication. We want a good balance between our private and business activities but we are not successful.

Where are you in the graph of work quantity and work pressure?

Yoga en Mindfulness Weekend Retraite Werkdruk

To be able to relax and learn on a deeper layer, this weekend has been specially composed with the following components ( see program )

The starting point of the retreat is stillness, depth relaxation, energy building, insight knowledge and wisdom. In addition to individual inner vision, there is also room for sharing and connecting with each other if you wish. During the yoga & amp; mindfulness weekend different yoga techniques and mindfulness meditations are combined with each other, to bring depth to yourself and to experience how both reinforce each other in operation. You will become acquainted with a mix of hatha yoga, Tibetan yoga, Chi Kong, mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises and rituals. The weekend is for both beginners and advanced.

Yoga ensures a healthy and relaxed body and thus paves the way for a deeper inner vision and feeling. We examine and experience our three bodies: the physical body (attitudes), the energetic / emotional body (feeling) and the mental body (thinking). With power, inspiration and connection as a starting point, you learn to recognize and understand your automatic thinking and behavior patterns through yoga and mindfulness exercises. This way you learn to function more effectively, both at home and at work.

Throughout the weekend you can enjoy a nice collection of yoga books and magazines, nature walks, get to know inspiring people and you can use the environment for your tranquility. In between, delicious vegetarian meals are prepared.

The Yoga and Mindfulness weekend retreat is given by Hans Kloosterman.

“ Hans gives safety and confidence. He connects Buddhist values with the lives that most of us deal with every day: a life full of crowds, traffic jams and hassle. And that is precisely what makes his retreat particularly valuable. He is sober and what he says has been lived through. I would like to come back to Hans later on retreat. &”.

At this retreat there is a choice of different Ayurvedic massages:

Ayuvedic head massage

Head, neck and shoulders are important energy centers in our body. By accumulating stress, this area can stiffen, which in turn causes other complaints. By the massage technique, by means of pressure points, also called weel marma points, the blockages can be lifted. We use specific head massage oil for this treatment. Duration of treatment: 40 minutes. Costs 40EUR.

Ayuvedic foot massage

With the Vital copper foot dish, with Ghee, and spice paste. Ghee is clarified butter from which the proteins have been removed. It contains no carbohydrates and sugars, and it is lactose free. Ghee is also used in Indian cuisine. The footrest, along with the Ghee, has a relaxing and strengthening effect on the body. The foot massage is part of the Ayurveda; the traditional Indian health theory. The copper in the shell supports the cleaning effect of the massage technique. Duration: 30 minutes. Costs: 35EUR

Abhyanga

This is a total body massage with warm oil, adjusted to your body constitution. The type of oil is determined before the treatment. The body massage technique uses pressure points, also called marma points. This way, blockages in the body can be removed. It provides relaxation, relieves pain, and promotes the production of oxytocin (hug hormone), and serotonin (happiness hormone). Duration: 60 minutes. Cost: 60EUR.

She is grateful for the fantastic teachers who have inspired her: Thich Nhat Hanh, Katiza Satya, Kevin Sahaj, Shirley Woods and Ira Hardjosusono.

In her private life she has a family with 2 big sons. Actually, with the birth of her eldest son, the floor also came in. She loves being outdoors in nature, likes to be found on the beach kite surfing or watching her boys.

Hjet van der Zee

Henriette van der Zee

In 2004 I started Asana, center for yoga and massage and I like to admit that it has been the longest with whom I have worked and that it is still with me. One of the reasons is that I like to be responsible for the things I do and the choices I make. Am I doing something right, good then! If I do something wrong, I have done it myself and it is up to me to do something about it. I love that. Being responsible for the things you do and creating opportunities to do something with them to learn from. I would like to pass this on by giving yoga and massage.

I have followed various teacher training courses in the field of yoga.
Started at Saswitha in Bilthoven, the Hatha yoga teacher training (4 years).
Then a Power Yoga teacher training (1 year) at YogaMoves, Utrecht and
Ron van der Post, dynamic yoga (3 years) plus the one-year master's program,
in Groningen and Nijmegen.

My first acquaintance with massages was on the advice of my life companion who indicated that it was something that would suit me. I had not come up with that idea myself. At Saswitha I started with a basic course and never stopped. I mainly give Ayurvedic treatments because it contains everything. Especially because it has a preventive effect. Ayurveda is a health science and not a disease. That suits my life attitude. I have had many training courses with Ayaida doctor Vaidya Acharya Naveen Gupta and worked with him for a while where he made the diagnoses and I performed. In addition to being a full-time yoga teacher, I give treatments at home and at home.

Ernst van der Zee

Ernst van der Zee

After twenty-five years of designing and managing
my own production company, specialized in Plexiglas machining, it was time to change my mind
give way. My union with Henriette gave
other topics and opportunities a chance.
Once during my studies at the Social Academy in Groningen, I was very interested in bodywork. I then started taking yoga class and some training in bioenergetics.

The professional turnaround did not take place until thirty years later.
I took very thorough courses at Saswitha in Bilthoven
ayurvedic massage. It caught me, I turned out to have talent.
In Amersfoort I did weekly training in emotional
bodywork. I started training as an energetic therapist
at People & Intuition, also in Amersfoort. It was purely energetic
too floaty for me. The physical contact is more my entrance to healing.
A wonderful training to become a craniosacral therapist followed at PCSA in Bussum. Finally, I followed a basic year of Shiatsu and traditional Chinese medicine at Qing Bai. But diseases (and healing) hardly interest me. Mental awareness and the possibility of liberation all the more.

In the meantime, massaging had become my profession. Especially when I started working a few days a week in Fontana Nieuweschans and Sauna de Waterlelie in Zevenhuizen, where I have been leading the massage department for three years. In addition, I give massages or cranio treatments in our practice at home, or on location.

If guests are often impressed by the excellent treatment with a really profound effect, I always pay tribute to the Ayurvedic massage principles. It is the mother of all massage forms. A number of times I have been able to pass on these techniques and my experience in short courses; very nice!

Earlier experiences of participants

It was a complete and unique experience. Both the location, the activities, the silence and the vegetarian meals fit in the picture. The teachers, Hans and Erna are complementary to each other; Hans, with a touch of humor and Erna with her softness, what they say and do really comes in! I recommend it to everyone.

My Autobiography

From Snob to Monk

To inspire people to search for their own life path, with that in mind I've written 'From Snob to Monk'. In this book I tell the story about my career, my entrepreneurship in recruitment and selection, my luxury life, my relations and the big turn in my life. A car accident showed me the way to my true lifepath: buddhism and detachment. Apart from being a biography of my search, 'From Snob to Monk' also acts as a guide to bring mindfulness into practice. How do you transform your thought and behavorial patterns and how can buddhist insights and meditations be helpful to accomplish that.
