The Yoga & Mindfulness midweek (summer) retreat will be held in Helios center in Heerde. Center Helios is located above Apeldoorn, wonderfully free in the Veluwe countryside with water and forest in the area. A beautiful center where 25 years have come many participants for courses to get to know your deeper self. You go to work with knowledge, practice and realization in body and mind using methods from Hinduism and Buddhism. You will be introduced to a mix of hatha yoga, Tibetan yoga, Chi Kong, mindfulness, meditation and breathing exercises. A gift to yourself. The midweek retreat is for both beginners and advanced.

What can you expect?

The starting point of the retreat is tranquility, depth relaxation, energy building, insight, knowledge and wisdom. In addition to individual inner vision, there is also room for sharing and connecting with each other if you wish.

During this yoga & mindfulness midweek retreat, different yoga techniques and mindfulness meditations are combined to create more depth for yourself and to experience how both reinforce each other in action. You will be introduced to a mix of hatha yoga, Tibetan yoga, Chi Kong, mindfulness, meditation and breathing exercises. The retreat is for both beginners and advanced.


Themes of the retreat:

stress reduction, concentration, being present in the moment, acceptance, letting go, being instead of doing, recognizing your automatic thinking and behavioral patterns / autopilot.


Mindfulness helps with:

stress complaints, concentration problems, over-fatigue, addictions, pain, insomnia and heavily disturbing emotions such as anger and anxiety.

Yoga helps to...

Obtain a healthy and relaxed body, thus freeing the way for a deeper self exploration and in feelings. We investigate and experience our three bodies: the physical body (attitudes), the energetic / emotional body (feeling) and the mental body (thinking). With strength, inspiration and connection as a starting point, you learn through yoga and mindfulness exercises to recognize and understand your thinking and behavioral patterns. Thanks to the insights during these lessons you will be able to shape your life better and widen your awareness. This will help you to work more effectively, at home and at work.

Throughout the retreat you can enjoy a beautiful collection of yoga books and magazines, nature walks, familiarize yourself with inspirational people and you can use the environment for your entertainment. In between, delicious vegetarian cooking is served.

Program Wednesday and Thursday approximately as the previous days. Only Wednesday is a silent day, ie participants do not speak, no sign language and no phones, computers.

* 4 nights in a shared room (it is possible to book a single room)

In the free time in the program there is the possibility to book a massage.
Price: 50 euros for 1 hour, 75 euros 1.5 hours. Payment for this is made on the spot in cash.

It was a very inspiring weekend. As soon as you reach the terrain, the silence takes over. A safe group atmosphere is created in which you can be yourself. Begeleider Hans  Kloosterman

Hans Kloosterman is a Tibetan Buddhist and studied at the Tibetan Kagyu Vasjrayana Institute in the Belgian Huy, which has a small monastic community with some lama's, monks and nuns. He lived for six years as a monk in training and has studied Buddhism since 2005. From 2000 to 2005 he has followed 3 years of HATHA YOGA education and 2 years of meditation training at Osmose in The Hague. He teaches classical classes in hatha yoga, Chi Kong and silence, analytical and non-dual meditation, namely shamatha, vipassana and samadhi.

In a mindfulness training, he teaches people to be present at all times in everything they do and become aware on three levels: physical, emotional and mental. The 8 week mindfulness training 1.0 for beginners is based on the MBSR training by Jon Kabat Zinn. Hans himself wrote a follow-up: Mindfulness 2.0, with Vipassana meditating and developing the 10 virtues in the body & mind, including compassion.

He organizes yoga & mindfulness workshops, trainings and retreats in the Netherlands and abroad.
